Oriented Strand Board (OSB)

Description

Oriented Strand Board, or OSB, is a highly versatile and cost-effective sheet material used extensively across the Irish building trade. Formed by layering wood strands in specific orientations with moisture-resistant resins, it provides excellent structural strength and stability. It is a reliable alternative to plywood for many general construction projects around the site or home.

This durable board is ideal for structural use in both dry and humid conditions, making it a go-to choice for roofing, flooring, and wall sheathing. Its uniform composition means there are no knots or voids to worry about, ensuring a consistent finish when cutting or fixing. It is easy to work with using standard carpentry tools and takes finishes well.

• Excellent load-bearing capacity for structural applications.
• Engineered to resist warping, delamination, and splitting.
• Versatile board suitable for roofing, hoarding, and domestic flooring.
• Consistent quality across every sheet for reduced waste on site.
